ME 2202 - DYNAMICS OF RIGID BODIES Kinematics and kinetics of particles and rigid bodies in one, two, and three dimensions. Work-energy and impulse-momentum concepts. ME 4182 - MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEERING Application of the design process to solve an engineering problem which includes interdisciplinary parameters such as human factors, engineering economy, safety, etc. A team structure is used to design a mechanical device or machine that performs the functions established by a project description. Each team produces detailed drawings, detailed specifications, a presentation, and a prototype of the proposed design. ME 4192 - MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEERING II Continued study of the design process for mechanical systems. Completion of the design project initiated in ME 4182. Mathematical modeling, simulation, and control of robotic systems with mechanical and sensory elements. Kinematic and dynamic techniques for simulation and control implementation. Sensor capabilities and integration into robotic systems. The hardware and software components of robotics systems are studied. Robot configurations, motion description and analysis, programming, sensors, controls, end-effectors, actuation, and applications. |
